Search Engine Optimisation

To help improve the visibility of Flowers Express we needed to do a complete website analysis to see what areas of the site were under-performing. The biggest issue affecting the website was the lack of text and headings throughout the website.

The website owner wanted the website to rank well for searches relating to “cheap flowers” but the keyword targeting of the website needed refinement. All the existing content needed to be rewritten and the website structure had to be amended to further improve our SEO efforts.

Every month we would review the website with the client and discuss the ranking reports with them and see what aspects of the website needed further refinement. Every few months we would review the website content and make amendments to the on-page SEO to help improve the rankings of their website in search engines.

Website redesign

After working with the website for a number of months it was agreed that the website should be redesigned to help improve visitor engagement. Our team redesigned the header and created a number of promotional banners for the website to promote special offers on their flower products. Since these changes were introduced we saw that visitors would stay on the site longer and view more pages before making their flower purchase. The font was changed throughout the website to make it easier for visitors to read.

WordPress Development

When we took on this project the website was powered by an outdated version of WordPressand some of the websites plugins were incompatible with the latest version of WordPress. This meant that custom WordPress development was needed that would allow us to perform the update without incompatibility issues.

Improved Website Speed

We re-coded parts of the theme to reduce overhead and speed up website load times. Through optimising the WordPress theme we were able to make the site load 2-3 seconds faster, which saw a gradual increase in the time visitors spent on the website.
